ABOUT US

Founded by Heath and Beverley Losick, and Christie Vtipil in 2008, Symphonic Artistry has grown from just eight members to over 50 talented musicians. Our membership is diverse with all levels of musicians from every occupation including current and former military musicians, band directors, university professors, and high school and college students. Symphonic Artistry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer organization.

A Community Presence

We regularly perform throughout the Tidewater area at a variety of venues, to include The Flying Proms, The Berkley Reunion, Virginia Beach Towne Center Summer Concert Series, ODU Chorale special concerts, Virginia Beach Chorale special concerts, private events and fundraisers.

Our repertoire includes Sousa marches, patriotic music, big band classics, broadway and movie favorites, and of course, traditional concert band literature.

Guiding young musicians

Through Symphonic Artistry, promising young musicians are mentored and connected with university music programs.  We also offer university music students the opportunity to obtain additional conducting experience and guidance. Of course, for all, is the promise to perform great music and spread the arts around our community.
